Sarah Kuenzler is an independent Art Historian living in the suburbs of the Twin Cities. By day, she is a Visitor and Member services aficionado; by night, she delves into the depths of the pit of research known at 19th century American visual culture. Her current focus is on printed ephemera, specifically trade cards, and how the imagery of those cards follows the changes of the 19th century. After moving from rural upstate New York to earn her Master's degree in Art History from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota, Sarah became more interested in the local arts scene within the Twin Cities. She is specifically interested in the advancement of women and minority artists, and brings her passion for art and drive for artistic inclusion to Altered Esthetics.
