Lauren Bina and Woody Stauffer have been selected as Ae Featured Artists for Fabled Mechanisms. Their uniquely creative artwork and interpretations of the exhibition's theme highlight the curious and experimental nature of the show. Later this month we will feature both artists with interviews.

Altered Esthetics is proud to annouce the following artists that have been accepted to exhibit in Fabled Mechanisms, our upcoming group exhibition opening in late April. Art on exhibit will represent various mediums and explore natural, imaginary and/or mechanical environments.

Tramika LaBranche is an artist who surpasses the barrier of language through art. Her work addresses topics such as sexuality, gender, and concerns that relate to how people of color (PoC) are depicted in different facets of the world. In this interview, Tramika describes how her work is never complete until it inspires conversation. “My work mainly deals with portrayal of PoC from the LGBTQIA+ community who have been murdered for being different, my homeland Haiti and our struggles.”

Altered Esthetics is proud to announce accepted artists for our upcoming self-portrait exhibition. The show opens on March 4, 2016. This exhibition is organized as part of the Guerrilla Girls Twin Cities Takeover. From January to March 2016 the Takeover will include over thirty arts and cultural organizations in Minneapolis/St. Paul and surrounding cities.
